Notice to All Employees

As of November 5, 2008, when President Obama is officially elected into office, our company will instill a few new policies which are in keeping with his new, inspiring issues of change and fairness:

1. All salespeople will be pooling their sales and bonuses into a common pool that will be divided equally between all of you. This will serve to give those of you who are underachieving a “fair shake.”

2. All low level workers will be pooling their wages, including overtime , into a common pool, dividing it equally amongst yourselves. This will help those who are “too busy for overtime” to reap the rewards from those who have more spare time and can work extra hours.

3. All top management will now be referred to as “the government.” We will not participate in this “pooling” experience because the law doesn't apply to us.

4. The “government” will give eloquent speeches to all employees every week, encouraging it's workers to continue to work hard “for the good of all.”

5. The employees will be thrilled with these new policies because it's “good to spread the wealth.” Those of you who have underachieved will finally get an opportunity; those of you who have worked hard and had success will feel more “patriotic.”

6. The last few people who were hired should clean out their desks. Don't feel bad, though, because President Obama will give you free healthcare, free handouts, free oil for heating your home, free foodstamps, and he'll let you stay in your home for as long as you want even if you can't pay your mortgage. If you appeal directly to our democratic congress, you might even get a free flatscreen TV and a coupon for free haircuts (shouldn't all Americans be entitled to nice looking hair?) !!!

If for any reason you are not happy with the new policies, you may want to rethink your vote on November 4th.

Bingo.. we're a small business also, and there's already been talk about what is going to happen if he is elected. Due to increased taxes, there will be layoffs.

They are voting for Obama because they hear that they are going to receive run-off money like a gift (heh), yet what they don't realize is.. that money comes with loss of jobs, their jobs.

It is truly sad. The economic disaster that will follow an Obama presidency is going to hit the poor and marginal middle-class like a ton of bricks. Folks like Obama, who made I think $4,700,000.00 last year will be fine.

Utter Sophmoric BS! Redistribution of TAXES to allow everyone the same advantages currently used by the upper 18% of the tax bracket is not the same as taking everyones money and putting it in a pool.

If you really feel as you imply in your childish little allegory, You may want to look closer at Palin and what she has done in Alaska, and I quote;

First and foremost, if you are a republican (as I consider myself), we HAVE no party. I can only speak for myself when I say that nobody has represented me in a very long time. The closest they have come is Sarah Palin, but sadly she's only running second fiddle.

And it IS my money. If they are taking it from me to pool with money from others to pay to study the mating habits of bottle-nosed gnats, they are wasting MY money. If it's not my money, then they don't NEED my money. Let ME keep it and use it as I see fit.

As for supporting my fellow American, I am not obligated to do any such thing. I have no problem with supporting those who truly NEED. The problem, however, is that need has expanded very much like our own stomachs have, becoming something so overbloated and grotesque as to not even be recognizable anymore. I am not my brother's keeper unless I choose to be. The way I take that comment of yours indicates socialism, unless I am missing something. Too many people are crying "poor mouth," and our greedy government is all too willing to label them as such in order to get them on the government teat.

I am numb towards my duty anymore. I have a government that squanders MY money (and I will cry MY money until I die or the cows come home because it IS my money), and I have lowlifes who believe that if I make even a dollar more than they do, I must split it with them. I owe them NOTHING.

I am a huge believer in personal responsibility. Barring very few circumstances, if you buy more than you can afford, too bad, so sad. I will NOT bail you out. If you sign on for a mortgage for twice the house you can really afford, too bad, so sad, sucks to be you. I will NOT bail you out.

I am a responsible citizen, and I get crapped on everywhere I turn, bailing out this lowlife and that lowlife who wasn't responsible or was simply downright greedy. What about those of us who do the RIGHT thing? We constantly get punished for that and nobody gives a crap -- they just demand more of MY money. I say no more.

Excellent "letter", Terri. As a small business owner, we are already looking for ways to cut back should Obama be elected -- unfortunately, in addition to us, this will also hit our employees and our customers. There's no way to avoid it; when our expenses increase (and taxes are one of our expenses), something else has to be marginalized. Salaries and benefits go down and retail prices go up. Anyone who thinks increasing the taxes will lead to anything good is delusional.

WHY DON'T PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THIS?? I just don't get it...I really don't. I only consider myself of average intelligence but I see this clear as day. Is the rest of the population THAT clueless?? I pray not. We shall see.

I am in a pretty good state right now. My wife and I own our house outright and both our cars are paid. We have enough in saved back to where paying 750 on car repairs from a flood, followed by 500 to buy a new washer, and 300 to for an electrician due to some damaged wiring during hurrican Ike did not break us, or even leave us calling FEMA. Our investments are diversified enough to where we took hits in recent months, but nothing that says we will fail long term.

And yes, I pay taxes too.... and if my recording studio hits 1/4 million dollars in some coming year (It isn't going to happen any time soon, but if it ever does...) I will gladly pay taxes and not cry about it. That is part of life.

I don't know about bailing out some lowlife. People hurt by hurricanes are getting some, but not enough. The homeless are not getting help. Families who are losing everything because their child has autism in a school system and medical system not prepared to handle the epidimic are not getting much help. People who only have social security are not getting much.

In essence, the biggest hits to our economy, and our tax dollars on wars and building other countries economies and on supporting millionaires.

I pray that, with your attitude, you never need help. I have, at times, been very near homelessness (thankfully, I have always had local help from friends and family in those times and didn't need government help). Now that I am in good shape, I am happy to help others.

Sure there are those that take advantage of the system. But looking at Wall Street, I don't think those who stand on the street corners are the real culprits.

So you want to gripe becaus your taxes may go up... get over it and be glad that you are making enough to be asked to do more.

I have been a strong McCain supporter for well over 10 years so I was disappointed with his loss yesterday and felt really bad for him personally.

However, we now have a new President Elect and we must all rally together and be ONE America. Remember, "United we Stand, Divided we Fall."

Even if you can't embrace Change, I know you can embrace Hope and Optimism.

No, I will not get over it. Since when is anybody stupid enough to be thankful for paying taxes?? Look, if YOU want to pay more and are happy doing so, then by golly, you go right ahead and do so. I, for one, am sick to death of paying for stupid crap that should never be paid for with MY hard-earned money.

Wars and huricanes aside, we pay waaaay too much for the eternally stupid, the lazy, the greedy (and they're not all on Wall Street; many lost their houses because they frankly couldn't afford them and knew that).

And most importantly, since when is it the government's duty to help out everybody who gets hit by a hurricane? How much is enough? Enough to rebuild when people CHOSE to live in a hurricane zone? How much are we to bail people out? You KNOW $700 million is only the begining.

People don't save today and have to have every little gadget imaginable, but somehow I'm supposed to feel "blessed" to fork over more of my money because that person went bankrupt? Why???

I will agree, our government spend a lot on pork, and it wastes a lot. That is why people voted they way they did.

I will also agree that I don't know all that you go through, as you don't know all that I have gone through. Obviously, you have a home, you have lights, and you can even have a computer and internet... that makes you better off than many people in the world.

If you pay over 50% taxes, however, you have a bad tax person, and you should keep better receipts. (I guess I shouldn't kid around, since it sounds like you are about to go postal).

But beyond that, as I said, I know I don't know where you come from, Beth, and I will not try to look take your rant too seriously. Maybe you're just having a bad day.

No, it's more than a bad day. It's a bad case of governmentitis. They are getting too big and too strong and too much into our lives. ALL sides. One isn't any better than the other, apparently.

If I have it better than some, then yes, I am blessed. But I have gone through my own hardships yet never EVER expected anybody else to bail me out. I have more pride than that. Sadly many do not.

And what I mean is, when you take into account ALL taxes that are paid, we pay out about 50 percent. Income tax, sales tax, food tax, phone tax, road tax, car tax, tax tax... you get the point.

And to add insult to injury, SO much money is totally wasted!
