What is this?

I noticed I have pain in an area to the right of my incision about 1 inch below today. I was fine all day. I did go grocery shopping (I will be a month post op on the 30th) I am really uncomfortable, almost to the point where I am thinking of taking a pain pill. sitting is uncomfortable. Standing is fine... any thoughts???

I had a pain like that off and on immediately post-op. I think it's normal, but if you are worried, you should call your surgeon. It never hurts to check.

I had that same thing-- Especially like the first couple weeks. I just hit my 30 days last week. I still randomly get it right at my big incision or under it but it only lasts for a bit . Hurts and is kind of hardish.... I think it is the scar tissue just healing b/c it definitely gets much better. My first 2 weeks if it really was hurting I took a little (like a quarter of a dose) of my liquid pain meds.

Hey, i've had the same pain, right after surgery (07-23-08) it's 1 inch below my port it feels like you are pulling a stich.... It's off and on sharp pain?

Sounds like a pulled stitch. It is painful but will not cause a problem. My doc told me to take pain meds as needed (it HURT!) and it would resolve itself. It did after about 10 days. Hope you feel better soon!

I was banded on Wed, 10.22. I am having this same issue. It just started on yesterday. It feels like I am pulling something. I honestly thought it was gas. It was hurting so bad yesterday, I could barely walk. I'm glad to read it's nothing.
