those who have traveled with your C-Pap; Have you needed a doctor's statement to get through security to take on the plane?

Never had a problem taking my cpap on the plane or through security. I don't like checking it in case it doesn't make it so I use it as one of my carry ons. No problem. I have had one person ask me to open the bag and I unzipped it, said yeah its my cpap, gotta have it to breathe at nite, the security guard laughed and said, sounds good and zipped it through. You can always get your physician to write a note though, I work at a drs office and type them frequently.

I took it on as a carry on. Had no problems.One time I had to take it out and they "tested" it by swabbing it with something.
