Question

I am 3 weeks post op today and I have a large hard lump right above my port incision, its quite painful. Its under the skin and probably the size of a golf ball, maybe a bit bigger. I'm not sure if its swelling or what but it hurts! Anyone else expierience this?

Call your surgeon tomorrow, describe your symptoms, and see what they say. It could be nothing, but it could be something they need to treat. Better to be safe!

It's probably fluid from the body trying to deal with the foreign object. I can't remember the medical term. I think this is normal but check with the doctor. I'm not sure if this means it's infected or not. I had something similar and it didn't hurt until the first fill attempt and they were poking me with their fingers. When the stuck the needle in it squirted out...gross! But the area felt much better afterwards.
