Not had a gastric band but am considering it and am looking up information. I have been BIG all my life and enough is enough, something has to be done, well at least I hope so. LOL.

hi there :thumbup:thought i'd say hello to a fellow resident of the uk !!! my name is claire and i live near manchester . i had a band fitted 5 weeks ago in belgium - i'm fine and just wanted to say that if there is anything u want to know just ask :thumbup:

Hi Claire, thanks for your reply I go to see the specialist on Monday 15th I am getting quite nervous as I am scared they will so no to the surgery, as i am hoping to get it funded by the nhs.
