Best Value Protein replacement

Hi, I am getting banded on 10/10/08, and I am looking for a cost effective Protein replacement. I did Optifast for 6 months, to qualify for the band, and I am tired of the flavor. It was also costing me $100.00 a week for the shakes. I am looking for alternitives for my liquid stage after getting banded. What was the best value you found out there?

hi i drink the eas protien drinks, the one i drink has 17grams of protien, they also have other eas brands with larger amounts, i bought them at stop&shop four for $5.99 the cheaper one. the rest you can get from walgreens, riteaid, look in the pharmacy isle. the flavors are strawberry, vanilla, chocalate, good luck.

If you have a Sam's Club nearby, they have EAS 100% Whey Chocolate or Vanilla for $31.24 (price may vary at different locations). It's really good. I've used it for years. 23 gms protein/3 gms carbs. 62 servings. Their web site also shows 6 lb bags. You can also get it on Amazon.com $32.95 (free shipping) if you want to wait for ground.

me again you can order opti-fast from walgreens online or just ask the pharmacy to order them for you, the doctors office, wow i see on most post where people have to order from the doctor,s too expensive. your local supermarket has them also have you tried slimfast the lowcarb ones, i drink all the flavors, not banded yet .had to do the 6 months classes lost 27lbs so far sil.

I use whey protein I buy at Wal mart in a big container for $14.00 it had 25 Grams pro. It comes in Van or Choc. I use a scoop with crushed ice and blend. I have also added SF flavoring and its very good. The powder mix last along time

Unjury is great, and can be ordered online for a good price! I bought some of their sample packs first. It was great to figure out what I wanted and liked first. If you are like me, I've tried and purchased several in large quantities, only to find out that I disliked the taste!

I also like AnyWhey (flavorless) and you can add it to all your foods with no taste and an added boost of protein. It's a good price too and I find it all over at drug stores and GNC.

The EAS the above people talked about is good too, I just get burned out easily and got tired of the EAS. I'm always looking for different ones at a good price and to keep things exciting!

I am not sure where you live but I shop at Costco and they have a powdered protien shake that has 17G of protien I like the Vanilla and use the food flavorings like Rootbeer, cherry, orange there are so many to choose from and without the huge cost of getting flavored protien shakes. I went on opti fast 10 years ago and lost 100 lbs and gained it back. I was banded Sept 26,2008 and have lost 50 lbs it has been a great tool. Just remeber it is a tool not the solution. I really have had some challenges trying new foods that are healthy and not full of fat. My advise is to Stick with the doctors orders. That was the advise given to me and it has worked well.
