I was wondering once you get to where you need to be with your fills if the saline ever needs to be changed after a while?

My doctor says once a year if your fill level is perfect for you. Otherwise, if you go for a refill within the year, they change it out anyways. He told me to think of it as a oil change in your car ha ha ha.

No wonder I'm sluggish. I don't have a port so my oil is dirty. Sigh.

I've been told (I live in the UK) that I should not need any more fills, and nobody has mentioned anything about coming back for checkups, will the saline be ok for the rest of my days??

I've never heard anything about the saline needing to be changed, either. And I've heard a LOT of talk about long-term band care.

I've never heard of it either! MY Doctor is very strict about aftercare though.

Its a good point though, I suppose as long as the band is'nt leaking it doesn't matter how grotty it is!!
