Hernia 5 months post surgery Need Advice

Hi everyone, I am currently a little over 5 months out and my surgeon thinks that I have developed a hernia above my port. I haven't been feeling well off and on for the past two weeks and have a golf ball size spot above my inscision that hurts a lot to touch. Has anyone had this happen before. And when it happened did you stop loosing weight. I haven't lost any weight in the last 3 weeks. Is there something that I can do to prevent this in the future and did you have surgery to correct it? What was the surgery like and how was the recovery time? I am scared of having surgery again. Also, I wanted to get pregnant and will I have to wait a year after surgery on hernia to do so now. Any advice would be great. :)

I'm two weeks post op with a mass above my port. My doctor is going to CAT scan on Monday to see if it is a hernia. No pain, but I'm concerned about the mass.

i develolped a hernia needing repair 14 months post op.

my surgeon removes these if present during banding (my husband had one removed) - but mine developed "after" i lost weight.

i had tenderness / eating was starting to become painful - so i insisted on several tests....i was right. and it was a good thing too - while having the hernia repaired, my surgeon noticed a small infection at the port site. left untreated can cause erosion, mega doses of antibiotics fixed the issue.

recovery time is a day or two.
