Has anyone ever heard of a patient having an allergic reaction to the titanium used in the port?

    I am allergic to metals and asked my doctor about this problem as I am scheduled for lap band on 9-29-08. She said she had never heard of anyone being allergic to the band. I hope she is right. If you hear different please let me know.
