Checking out Banding

Hi everyone,

I am looking into LapBand surgery. I am not at the minimum requirement BMI of 40. However, I am not that far off. Has anyone else started out having to gain some weight before qualifing for surgery? If I ever get it done, it will be paid by me, so insurance won't be an issue.

Sophie- Good News-you do not have to be at 40 bmi if you are self pay...that is an insurance stipulation. There are lots of people with 35-36 bmi that have been banded.

I too am self pay and will be getting banded with a lower than 40 BMI.
