Surgery Date 9/5

I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Caren and am from Texas. I have been trying to get approval from my insurance for 1 year now, and decided to be a self pay. Sept. 5 is my big day. I can't wait for this needed life change.:tt2:

Regan,

I will be banded with Dr. Spivak at Park Plaza Hospital in Houston. I am very excited! Looks like we are one day apart. Good Luck to you.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome..

Hi Caren, I am also new and going through the True Results clinic though with a different doctor. Yes the insurance process is a real pain in the ***. However, I have been approved by insurance but am finding the paper flow to be stalled at the clinic. Left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing and so forth. :cursing:I'm EAGERLY awaiting a surgery date, but can't seem to get things to budge. In the meantime, I've just started my pre-op diet yesterday so I'll be ready. How did the office staff work for you? Who was your lap-band advocate?

I did not go through true results. I went to a a seminar in Dr. Spivak's office and was immediatly scheduled for a date. I could have done it sooner, but I was waiting on a Friday. I went to the seminar on 8/16. Everything happened pretty quickly being a self pay. The office staff was wonderful. I originally went through Journey Lite, and they are a big joke in my eyes. Full of false info.
