Yeah, I know the feeling. I'm fighting with the same 3 -5 lbs. It is extremely frustrating. Are you losing inches though. Even though I haven't lost any weight to speak of, my clothes are getting bigger. That little victory is helping to keep me from getting too discouraged. Do you have any restriction? I don't and my doc will only fill every four weeks and 1cc at a time. My next fill (my 3rd one) is 8/29 and that day can not get here soon enough.

Wow. I wasn't losing and was going back and forth between a few pounds too. My Dr said it was because I wasn't tight enough and gave me another fill.

How many fills have you had?

If your clothes are getting looser and you can easily fit into smaller sizes I say screw that scale. The best thing you can do for yourself is stay off of it for awhile.:smile2:

I have been up a pound and down two pounds for the last two months. I don't know what to do to make the scale go down and continue going down. I hardly eat anything and it should be coming off quickly. I do carry a lot of Water but this is getting very frustrating. I just had another fill last week. The doctor actually said that it seemed to already be tight but he would fill it and we could remove it if we needed to. I can barely eat anything and even liquids are hard. You can hear that gurggling sound every time I swallow. The scale still hasn't showed a weight loss since last week. I want to lose 30 lbs by Christmas but I'm not sure if I am going to be able to get there.

I need some encouraging words to move ahead. Any suggestions? I really feel overwhelmed because I cannot eat and feel comfortable and I am exercising and trying really hard. :crying:

SLABruz, are you tracking your intake on something like fitday.com? I wouldn't be surprised if you are taking in waaaayyyyy too few calories and that your body is just holding on to everything it can get. Check it out and let us know!

Why will your doctor only do fills if you loose at least 6lbs.? Did he say why? I am curious because I thought if you are not loosing then you get one.

I know if I could have lost 6lbs a month on my own and keep it off I most likely would not have gotten the band.

I am concerned now because I have only had one fill that did nothing for me and I am going again on Sept. 5 and I have only lost 2lbs. and are so looking forward to getting a fill, I will be very disapointed if I don't get one.

They want to make sure your following the rules and actually exercising and not just saying you cant do it just for a fill since my last fill ive lost five pounds they only do fills every six weeks so six pounds isnt too bad

To be free, I don't think most doctors will refuse to give you a fill if you haven't lost weight. In fact, I've heard that if you have good weight loss, the doctors don't want to give you a fill because they don't want you to get too tight. It seems the doctor mentioned above is a bit of a judgmental guy and maybe in the wrong specialty.

Thanks, I do follow the rules and before the band I did weight watchers for 9 months and worked out doing cardio and weights 5 days a week and had only lost 19 lbs. but was always hungry and never really got that "full feeling" so that is why I got the band....... I know I am going to be a slow looser but with the restriction I had after surgery I lost 17 since June (nothing since my first fill) more than in 9 months of dieting on my own.....

I am glad to know that not filling unless I loose is not the norm!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
