I am so nervuos

I have my 1st Doctors appt. tomorow and can not wait. But I am nervous at the same time. This is only to get a refural so that I can see a surgon. I hope I meet the requirements. I am 260 lbs and I am 5 foot 4 I have high cloertrol, foot problems, Asthma, mirgrains and insomnia. Not to mention back pain as well.

Hi Susie,

At your weight and height your BMI alone will qualify you. You seem to have other "comorbidity" issues as well, that should qualify you also. I had to document (with my PCP) all the times I attempted to loose weight and failed. The ins. co. wanted to make sure I had tried other avenues of weight loss before they approved this. I would write down (before you go to your primary dr.) all your attempts (with his help or on your own) all the attempts you tried to loose weight...thats a good place to start.....Good luck, its gonna be a long road from PCP to approval, but trust me, well worth the wait! :thumbup:
