August 8, 200817 yr Anyone know about walking up stairs? I live in an old apartment building and go up two flights to get to my apartment. I'm a little worried about making it up and down right after the surgery so I might stay at my mom's house. Anyone know?? Thanks!
August 9, 200817 yr I had to hike three flights of stairs today, 3 days out from surgery. I could feel it, but I just took it slowly. It wasn't that bad.
August 10, 200817 yr i agree with taking it slowly...I live in a family building and my granny lives upstairs everyone comes down to see me. Main thing is you don't want to risk misplacing anything by walking up stairs using muscles that haven't healed completely. Also, you have to just take your time..if it means going up the stairs slowly then so be it..babes...key thing is healing..I was banded August 6,2008 at around 9am..was done by ten and left the hospital by 2:30pm...they had to get my heart rate down and I had to really wait for the doc to make his rounds..but, take it easy..we are all in this together to come out strong..and much better
August 10, 200817 yr I live on the second and third floor in a loft and was wondering the same thing.
