Hi Everyone..Newbie from UK

Hi All

I am due to have gastric band surgery on the NHS very soon and I thought that it would be good to join a forum like this to make new friends and get and give help and support.

I currently weigh 22st 9lbs..Mine is a typical story, chubby teenager, bullied at school, food was comfort, tried everything and think surgery is my last hope.

I am type 2 diabetic and have high colesterol.

I can't wait to get my band fitted. I know it isn't all plain sailing and that I will still have alot of work to do, but I know that it will change my life and make things better for me and that I will at last be able to do the normal things in life.

I am going to take a look around the site and familiarize myself with stuff..Look forward to talking to you all and hopefully making some new friends!

Take care

Love BlueStarz xxx
