Hey from Georgia!

Hi! I am new here.. was banded on 7/7/08 and haven't had a fill yet. I go 8/7/08 to do that, and I am very excited about it. I have lost only 7 lbs since my surgery and feel like I have NO restriction. It is very frustrating. I can eat whatever I want. I have to use my self control! Just wanted to introduce myself and say I enjoy reading all the posts. They really helped my thru my first days of post surgery!!

Nunt

Banded 7/7/08 271 lbs

currently 267 lbs...

Where in Georgia are you from? I was banded on 6-27-08 by Dr Christopher Hart. I get my first fill on 8/14. I am nervous but excited. I too have no resitriction now but following a 800 calorie diet. Not so hard now as I am motivated. Have lost 14 pounds since surgery.

I am from Rome, Ga. My Dr. is Ryland Scott. He is wonderful!! I had my surgery at Floyd Medical Center. They have the most wonderful rooms for you to recover in. The nurses brought me a fresh bouquet of flowers for me to look at until I went home that evening...

Not too far from me. I am in Woodstock Ga. Don't worry about the no restriction. From what I hear that only last until you have a fill. The emphasis is on healing until the first fill not losing weight. If you do lose that is just a bonus. My daughter is getting married in March and I want to lose a total of 95 pounds. I know I will probably only do half of that before the wedding but I need to get a head start. I am a very SLOW loser.

hi. I am totally new to this. This is my first post. I am awaiting approval from our insurance company and and should know something very soon. I am also from Georgia. Good luck to everyone!:wink2:
