hello everybody

hello everybody my name is marty im from newark nj and i was banded on 7/21/08.so far i am so happy that i did the surgery.im not gonna lie the first 7 days sucked.i had gas pains like a motha......:cursing:but now i feel great.im 5'6 my starting weight b4 surgery was 276.i am now 255. i had my surgery done at saint barnabas hospital,by dr.bilof.....

if anbody got any questions just hit me up im new to this but im sure i can help. so dont be shy

hey marty just had my surgery july 11 and i also had baaaaaad gas pains my dr. even sent me to the hospital for xrays to make sure nothing else was wrong im also a new member first week was nightmare this is third week and much better started at 215 now at 200 kind of hungery sometimes but resisting any urges yeah for us were gonnabe fabulous!!!!!!!

yea i cant wait 2 start loosing some more weight.im glad all was good wit u.....i just started week 2 of my diet wich is protien shakes pudding and doc said mashed potatos.....how do i get friends on my page

You go to whoever you want to be your friend's profile and where it has their friends listed you click on befriend and it will list the user name. I hope this helps.

Wow good job! I am trying to loose a total of 40lbs before surgery so I can try to hit my goal weight. I lost 20lbs so far I have 20lbs left to loose! Keep in touch of your journey with the band!! I am very interested in how people feel. Thanks for the info!

im jelous your doin great hey i found a great protein shake i posted earlier its EAS advantedge 17g protien taste great did your dr make you do liquid before surgery mine was just one day before now i wish it had been longer id have better results now

yea he had me do 1 day b4 surgery then 7 days after surgery.last time i ate somthing was july 19 at 1130pm i had me some popyes...lol funny thing is im realy not that hungry

littlemissband cute name you are doin great if i could have lost that much before surgery i would have been beside myself girl you got some willpower dont loose it what will your starting weight be and your goal? surgery is so easy recovery for me wouldnt have been so bad if i hadnt had gas so bad ICKY get lots of gas x ready sorry its just the ugly truth BUT other than that its been easy

Marty.....glad to see ya joined the site! Its pretty cool!! I just had surgery on July 10th and I've lost 22 lbs. Congrats on your weight loss too!! Man, it feels great to get some weight off.....right??? I had those horrible gas pains too the first week....I just kept walking and walking, but I was still ready to kill somebody!! Btw, thats a hot lookin bike you got...I saw the pics. I live in South Jerzey, so if you ever cruise down this way hit me up!! Well good luck on your journey and Welcome to the site!! Mel:cool2:
