New and a tad scared!

Hi. I am new to the forum. I am scheduled to have my lap band surgery next week, Wednesday July 30th. I am excited and a bit scared. I am having the surgery at Magee.

April, I was feeling like you are just two weeks ago. I was TERRIFIED, because I had never had surgery before. Everything turned out fine and it was easy. I went for my followup appt today and everything is good! You will do wonderfully!

It's normal to feel the same things you are feeling and will probably get worse just before surgery. I had the same feelings and I've had several surgeries. You will do fine and will realize that it is one of the best decisions you've ever made.

Hi, I have been banded for 5 years now and have had a wonderful success. Remember ask your doctor heaps of questions and listen to his/her advice.

Good luck
