Hi my name is Kathy and I am from Garden City Michigan and I am getting my lap band in 4 days. I am very excited and nervous at the same time. I am having the procedure done at St. Mary's Mercy by Dr. Zeni. Monday I start my liquid diet (2 full days prior to surgery).

Hi Kathy! I was just banded on the 16th. I too was very nervous and excited at the same time. The surgery was a piece of cake and now I am just excited and no longer nervous!! Good luck to you. I'm sure everything will go great!

Thanks Andrea. I am trying to be more excited than nervous but its so hard the closer it gets.

I also was nervous a couple of days before the surgery and even started doubting about what I was about to do to myself.

I'm just really starting on this journey only being 3-1/2 weeks post-op, but I am SO GLAD that I did this!

I am feeling exactly the same as you did, DOUBTING my choice. Thanks for the kind words and it looks like you are doing GREAT so far. I hope I will do well with this. I think I need to stop reading the people who have had bad things happen with this surgery and focus on the positive.
