Greetings

I am new to the board and wanted to say hello. I want to have the surgery done, but my insurance carrier Blue Cross (now ANTHEM) says I have to lose 20 pounds before I can have it done. I have already seen the dietician and the psychoatrist. So I am working on that. I am just glad that there is a place where so many people like myself can talk and experience things together. My doctor is Mark Paya and he is located in West Hills Calif. Does anyone out there live in Simi Valley Calif?

Hi and welcome to LBT. Did the dietician give you a plan to help you lose the 20 pounds?

You might want to check out the local forums. California has a forum there where you may find someone from Simi Valley.

We look forward to getting to know you.

I live in Simi Valley and I am seeing Dr Paya also! I also have Anthem Blue Cross! Why do you have to lose weight to get the Lapband?

I see the Psychologist and nutritionist on Monday and Tuesday...
