Hey there! I'm in Athens...not far from you! I am 9 months post op and am down 99lbs so far. I have 31 more to get to goal. I will be glad to answer any questions you may have. I wanted to invite you to our support group the 3rd Weds of every month at St Mary's Hospital at 6pm. I found that a lot of my questions and concerns,(and fears!) were addressed at support group. They are a very friendly and helpful group of people! Welcome!! I wish you all the best. You are in a great place for information here!

Great! It's 1199 Baxter Street in Athens. If you Mapquest it, the zip is 30606. I'm terrible with directions, sorry. We have a psychologist coming to speak next week, she'll talk about tools to help with emotional/compulsive overeating. I certainly need to hear that! Let me know if you can make it.

Hi!

I'm from Griffin and I had my lapband installed last month...I went to Emory and my Dr. is FANTASTIC! When are you planning on having the surgery? There are A LOT of tips in the pre-surgery section, like what you'll need before and after.

The one thing I can recommend to you at this point, is to have Immodium ready for when you get home ---

If Emory is an option for you, try Dr. Scott Davis - He looks super young, but he's GREAT!!
