Hello all, I am so glad I found this group! I just did the orientation today for the lap band, it will be a 24 week course that we have to complete before we can get the surgery. Has anyone else had this experience, if so please sheare your story thanks alot.

Welcome! All my pre-op stuff took about 9 months. Classes, nutritionists, dr. appts, etc. I got banded on July 2 (I am 1 week post-op) and I am doing well. Congratulations on your decision and good luck to you on your weight loss journey!
