Hello I am a newbie to this forum

Hi there I am a newbie to this forum, My name is Jan and I am from South Australia. I am off tomorrow the 8th of July for my first initial consult for having the lap band process. I am so excited and hopefully this time next year I will be recording my progress to a long awaited re-birthing of this skinny girl trying desperately to get out of this fat outer body.

I would love to hear from anyone about the process from here on in.

Cheers bella64:thumbup::thumbup:

Hi Jan,

Welcome aboard!!

Michelle

Hi bella,

I'm also new to this forum, and am waiting on my 1st appointment with the surgeon. I'll be watching your progress with interest!

Hi,

I am also new to this forum. I have made my appointment and I am having surgery on the 11th August. I am very nervous. I would also like to hear about other peoples experiences good and bad.

Good luck everyone with your appointments.

Hi, my name's Danni and i'm from South Australia and I too am also new to this forum. I had surgery over 12 months ago and to date have lost 42kgs. The surgery is the best thing i have ever done, you do have your days where it can be hard but when you look at yourself in the mirror you realise you wouldn't have it any other way.

I am sorry I have'nt posted for a while now as I have been busy with work and getting fatter LOL !!! I am trying so hard to be positive at this time but I am having trouble I am still waiting for my banding and will have to wait until next year in May, for this is when my insurance matures and i can have the op. I gave up smoking in December 07 and have put on weight since. I just seem to be eat now for the something to do with my hands. Any ideas ladies. Thankyou to Sunwyse and to Lellow for there comments. It would be nice to hear from others and recieve their encouragement.

Thankyou to all Jan:sad::w00t:

Hello the everyone

the wait will be worth it

and its amazing how quickly the time goes

make this the time you do lots of research

and really get to understand things about being a bandit

i was banded 11mths ago and am down 57kgs

not every day is easy but the few bad days are soon forgotten

you will not regret your decision

Leeanne

Hi Jan,

I know it seems like May is so far away, but trust me, the time will fly. I had to do the 12 month weight because of insurance as well. I've been champing at the bit to get this done since I took it out. Its been a long year, but now the time is almost here, it doesn't seem that long at all.

M.

This will be the best decision you guys have ever made! It's certainly the best thing I have ever done. I feel like I have the old me back - no longer worried about going out in public thinking that everyone is staring at the "fat chick". I no longer need to shop in the "big girl" section - it's the best feeling ever - good luck on your journey - it's well worth it!! Cheers Rastis x
