  1. Hi there Ipswich bandster Dr John Copp did my surgery on the 11 August 2008 and I have lost 35kg to date and 4kg to go to get to goal. He is the best. I hape to have my tummy done end of the year or early next year. congratulations to everyone, you are all great.:drool:
  2. Hi all August 2008 banders hope you are all doing well. I thought I would let you all know that I have now lost 35kgs and only have 4kgs to go. It has been 1 year since my surgery on the 11th August. I feel great and I now feel I have a long life ahead of me to enjoy the grandchildren and hopefully great grandchildren. Wish you all the very best and congratulations to you all.:drool:
  3. I Hope everyone is doing well and all those that were having fills are coping. I have now lost 13.65kgs and I am feeling great. I have my 2nd fill on the 14th October and I am feeling a bit hungry at the moment so I am hoping that the next fill will stop the hunger feeling.:bolt::thumbup:

  5. I was banded on the 11th August 2008 and my first fill was on the 11th September. I have lost 10 Kgs and I am feeling wonderful. How is everyone else going? Good luck to everyone.:thumbup:
  6. Good luck to those being banded tomorrow. I am going well now and have started the blended food, glad the liquids are gone. I don't miss them at all. I can't wait for normal food. I am not rushing though, I am not hungry at all I seem to have just the right amount at the moment. I have my first fill on the 11th Sept, and a dietian appoint 26th August. I willkeep you all up to date and I hope you will do the same. Again good luck but it will be worth it I know.
  7. Hi Everyone, I am feeli8ng a lot better now thanks. It is now day 7 post surgery and I am a little over the fluid diet. I am trying to think of different things to eat. I am only allowed to have things I can suck up a straw and no lumps. I will be going to the mushies on Thursday so I can't wait. I don't get my first fill till September i month after surgery. Thanks for all the support and I weigh in tomorrow night so I will let you all know how I go as I don't have scales at home.:mad2:
  8. Hi Everyone and thank you for all the support. I am now 2 days post op. I have very bad reflux, and all of day 1, I couldn't stop vomiting. Thant is all behind me now and I have started on the soups and sustigen:thumbdown:, better than optifast I suppose. Anybody have any suggestions for the reflux, I have tried infacol and that is not working. :crying:
  9. 1 Sleep to go. I am operated on at 4.00pm tomorrow 11/08/08. I am a little nervous now. I know everything will be alright. I can't wait, to start my new life.
  10. Hi Everyone, I am getting very nervous now as my surgery is on Monday 11/08/08. How long do you need to take off work? I was hoping to return on the 18/8/08 am I being a little optimistic. I work in an office, and I work with great people who would be there to help with anything I couldn't do. I have only told 1 person at work but they do know I am having an operation of some sort.

  13. Thanks Bindi, That is just how I am feeling, I thought I was going to loose it at work today I was just all over the place. I am so glad I am not on my own. Where are you have your op? I am in Ipswich and with Dr. Copp. I think he is great.

  15. Thanks for all the support. Only 14 days now till bandday. I think optiyuk is a better name for it. 28 more times I have to drink it. I am feeling much better today just a slight headache and tummy problem under control.I have not told very many people about the operation, it is something I need to keep to myself at the moment. Only sister and of course husband. Again thanks for the support and I look forward to hearing from all of you in the future.
  16. Thanks it is great to know it is all normal. I thought it might be a cleansing thing. I can't wait for surgery now only 16 days to go. I have struggled with my weight for so long now I can see a light at the end of the tunnel.:thumbup:
  17. Hi, This is my first thread, I have been reading other threads for a while now. I was wondering how everyone coped with the pre-op diet. I have been on it now for 3 days, and I have been feeling terrible. I hav Headaches and very bad gastric I was wondering if this is normal? My op date is the 11 August and I cant wait.:thumbup:
