date scheduled

After 3 months of a diet with Aetna I got approved on Tuesday( took less than 3 days!) and set my surgery date today. I will have surgery on July 22nd in San Fransisco. I'm slightly bummed as I wanted the surgery in San Jose as the hospital here is 2 blocks from my house but I was approved for the SF hospital and that is where the Surgeon will be performing the surgeries in July. My surgeon is Dr. Cirangle.

I will have exactly one month off before I have to get back in my classroom for the new school year. I am hopeful that I will feel totally fine by then.

Congratulations!

Can I ask what Kind of "diet" Aetna made you pursue before approving your surgery? I'm almost up to the insurance approval phase and just want to know what to expect.......the best of luck with your weight loss journey!

It was an 800 calorie a day low carb, high protein diet through the nutritionist at the surgeons offices. It consisted of procal shakes, oatmeal, this chili and soups, kindof like a medifast/optifast thing.
