Hi All! I just wanted to scream from the top of the mountain that I only have 1 more thing to do before I can get approved for my August 1st surgery!! My Psych is done, the Nutritionist is done, the seminars are done and 5 months of my doctor supervised diet are done. I have my 6th appointment on July 3rd & the doctors office said they then will send the info to the insurance company & I will be good to go!! I can't wait to start my new HEALTHY life!! I would LOVE to hear success stories from anyone to keep me focused...

congrats im in the same boat as u, i have my last 6 mth ins diet the 23rd and then cardiac clearance appt on the 24th then i get to send all stuff for approval. im shooting for late july early aug surgery date

I have my surgeon's appointment on June 25th. I just finished my 3 month supervised diet. I spoke to the insurance lady at my surgeon's office and she said after I meet with him I can expect to only have one more appointment for my psych exam then I'm good to go (as far as sending my info to Aetna for approval). I'm hoping I have my appointment shortly after meeting with my surgeon...I'm SO ready to get this done, lol.

As luck would have it, I've had several folks at different doc's offices comment on how good my insurance is, it covers A LOT (even fertility treatment), so I'm hoping the process for approval is painless. My husband (who's insurance I'm using) has 4 girls that work for him that have all had Lapband done this year!
