can't get my groove ( restriction) back

I had a complete unfill on April 1. I had 5.5cc in a 10 cc band then. I was just way too tight...lots of gurgling, pain, unable to swallow my own spit at times....so they unfilled me, did an upper GI, everything was fine. SO we started with a small 2cc fill, and now I am up to 4.5cc and I feel like I am almost there but not quite. I can eat bread....pasta...whatever. I KNOW I can eat alot more, but I try hard not to, because I am scared to over do it. My question is this, is it taking MORE saline to get me back to some sort of restriction than it would have before BECAUSE I have already had atleast 5.5 cc in my band? Kind of like I have to have atleast 5.5 cc now or else? Does that make any sence to anyone else?? I am calling the office tomorrow, its been almost 2 weeks since my last .5 cc fill and I want more damnit!!

My doctor's office said that each person is different. Some people it might take less to get the restriction back and other people it might take more. I just had 1.5 cc taken out (I had 9) of my 14

Wendy,

Wish I could help, I went down to 2 ccs from 4 and haven't gone back up yet and hoping to soon. 4 was too tight and still having issues getting this thing working the way it should, good luck to you brandyII.

I just had 1.5 cc taken out (I had 9) of my 14 cc band. They said it might be difficult to get the restriction that I had back.

Wendy, this is very common. I had .5 removed for plastic surgery and .3 didn't do it when I went in 2 weeks ago. I wouldn't be surprised if you even needed more than 5.5. You have to wait and see. I would go back to 5.5 and see if you get any symptoms again. Good luck.
