Port site sore after coughing

I have been banded since 09/07 with out any problems. However, about 2 1/2 weeks ago I got a cold that made me cough horribly. I coughed hard for 2 weeks. I am better now but I am sore around my port? Has this happened to anyone else?

I would imagine this is normal its all tied in there with your abdominal muscles which is what you use when you cough. Give it a couple of weeks it will probably clear.

i have had a cough recently and all i have been worried about is slippage because of the force my abs have been under. Is this possible?

I have been banded since 09/07. My doctor doesn't seem to think mine is anything but just sore muscles around the port because of the coughing. I was told if your actual band slips the pain is horrible and you would know. I was worried i could have flipped my port.
