The fear of failing "yet again" is definitely natural. We have all been through that so many times by the time we decide we are ready for surgery that it's hard for us to believe there actually is a chance. This forum is a great place for support and inspiration to keep failure from happening. Educating yourself about how to use this new tool you will have to assist in your weightloss is one of the most important things you can do before committing to the change, so you will know exactly what you will have to do in order to finally succeed.

Good luck and let us know how it goes with the surgeon!
