it hurts to drink water

i have been banded a week now and the pain i feel when i eat ..first it felt like i was going to vomit ..then extreme gassy pain..now this is just from water..

Have you called your doctor?? I suggest that you do..

Are you taking small sips or are you trying to drink like you use to.

I can not guzzle water like I use to - I have to take smaller sips

As far as eating what are you eating - tiny bites (use baby spoon) eat slowly - I doubt you on on real food yet so I can't tell you to chew.

With the band you will have to re-learn how to eat - No more shoveling, no more guzzling -

If after doing these things and you still have pain - I would call your doc.
