Does anyone drink through a straw? If so does it cause you any problems with your band?

Although I have heard that straws give you gas, I've not had a problem with using a straw. Everyone is different :ohmy:

I've forgotten a few times and took a sip here and a sip there through a straw. Didn't cause any problems, but I don't know if drinking an entire drink would or not.

Doctor advised against it. I have forgotten once or twice and taken sips with no impact but have stopped. Why chance it ?

This something I am worried about... I know it may sound stupid, but I have sort of a phobia... I don't like to put my lips on a can of drink or on a glass at a resturant... I have not been banded yet, but I fear the "no straw" rule almost as much as the "no caffiene" rule!
