Hickups?

I was banded March 20th. I've been feeling full, everything is going good. I'm starting to feel alittle more hunger, which my doc said I would feel at this stage.

I didn't get them today but since my surgery I get hickups... really bad ones for abit, alil painful almost. Nothing comes up, but it stops me doing whatever I'm doing.

Is that normal?

I got hiccups, too, but not that bad after I was banded. They did go away, tho, when the restriction when down. They seemed to scare me a little at first because they were strong. Maybe you should tell your Dr about them?

Hi<

I was banded the end of December and also get painful hiccups. I mentioned this at my three months appt and the doctor feels they are probably caused by eating too fast. I have to agree, i notice if I try and "get away" with eating on the run, I tend to get them more often. i would still mention it to your doctor at your next appt. Congratulations on your progress!!!!!

I was just banded 4.1.08 and have already gotten hiccups a few times event though I haven't eaten. The nurse said it was from drinking too fast....I gotta learn to SIP.
