13 days post op..Drainage

I had surgery on the 19th. I was doing really well until two days ago. All of a sudden Im having thick yellow drainage from one of my incisions and it seems as though my pain level has gone up. I was also running a low grade temp yesterday. Anyone else had anything like this?

When it comes to anything related to surgery, you should always consult your doctor.

Coming here is great, too as you can find out about other's experiences.

So, call your doc today.

Hi,

I'm an RN, and I can tell you that yellowish (pus) drainage, redness at the site, and a low grade fever are all signs of an infection. You need to call your doctor right away and let him/her know immediately. Good luck!
