Alternative Port Placement Locations

Most of the things that I have read just say that the port is stitched into the abdominal wall. In another thread somewhere on this site, people were talking about ports flipping. One lady said that she had her port moved after it flipped to a location between her breasts. It seems to make a lot more sense to me that this location would prevent flipping and be easier to find for fills. Has anyone else had their port put in this location or an alternative location?

Port flipping is not common. Port placement is something you should discuss with your surgeon. Tell him/her what you read and what your concerns are.

My mom had surgery done 2 years ago, she asked to have hers a little higher because it is more confortable with jeans.
