  1. I just noticed yesterday that I started sitting "Indian Style" on the couch. <----(I know not politically correct but I don't know what else to call it.) I used to sit that way all the time but I couldn't do it for a while. Just a little thing, but it something.
  2. Ah food, I wish I could have food. I am complaining all over this board today, but I have to be on just protein drinks, broth, sf jello, and sf popcicles for 3 weeks. Oh yeah it has been hard! I 5 days left to go. Funny thing is I have not been hungry at all. I think when you eat it makes you hungrier. Congrats to all of you and enjoy your eating! :cursing:
  3. Roster first of all congrats on being banded. I know about the breath, I think it is from the protein. Watch out for slim fast it has a lot of sugar in it. I would recommend going to a Vitamin store and picking out a good Protein Drink. One with less than 5 carbs, under 150 calories and has at least 20 protein per scoop. As for the bad breath, I have been brushing my teeth a whole lot more.
  4. I first mini goal is to be to just be obese and I am 3 pounds away from no longer being morbidly obese. I already have a peticure scheduled.
  5. I guess every Dr. is different. I am on these stupid protein drinks for 3 weeks! 5 days left. Congrats and good luck!
  6. mojo, you should just be on straight liquids at this time including most importantly protein shakes. Other things you can have is broth and sf jello and sf popscicles.
  7. I have only chewed a couple of things I was not suppose to like a pretzel, meatloaf, and a cracker with chream cheese and salmon...all I spit out. I think only a few lurking calories got in me. End of week 2 all I want is my scrambled egg. I have to wait one more week.
  8. Thanks, specialk! Congrats to all our members we are finally complete, and heading down a journey to good health!
  9. My doctor has me on Calcium Carbonate for the first month which is Tums.
  10. Rant: I am going crazy! I am soooo sick of Protein drinks and I still have a week and a half on them. I saw most of you have a much shorter liquid phase but my doc insists on 3 weeks. AHHHHH. Also my oral fixation has been horrible lately. I constantly find myself biting the tips of my fingers. I guess I am trying to get some meat to eat . I tried to chew gum but it gives me gas. What have all of you been doing for your oral fixations during the liquid phase?
  11. I went out to GNC and bought chocolate, vanilla, and Stawberry flavored Protein Drink so I would not get tired of them. Good luck to you Harley on finding something better! Though I have another problem, I have been stuck at 6lbs. for 3 days now and I am really not happy about that. This would be the time on a normal diet I would change back to my old eating habits. I know, I know I need to stop weighing myself everyday.
  12. If you think your doctor is strict. I have a "bad" list that includes carrots, cream of wheat, and oatmeal (unless it is the low cal healthy alternative). I don't know how long I am suppose to stay away from those foods but the doc said that they will stunt weight loss.
  13. I am on Vicodin right now post op from my band surgery. Like Wheetsin said go for the liquid.
  14. I have been drinking strictly broth, water and protein drinks. I have lost 5 lbs four days post op. I would think that you would be losing right now because you would be hardly getting any calories in. Though you might have bloated a little after surgury thus really losing weight but gaining from being bloated.
