Questions about the liqiud diet

I'm due for my surgery in 2 weeks, March 24th. I started my liquid diet yesterday. I was told that you couldnt have any liquids with sugar, carbs, or caffiene. I bought a lot of Crystal Light drinks, and tons of chicken broth. I know you're also supposed to have protein shakes. There were none at the Walmart that I went to. Since I still need to buy some, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what kinds to buy. What were some of your favorites?

Thanks so much,

Cait

Hello,

I went to Medifast.com and got their shakes since I had tried their diet before. the shakes are good with several flavors and they each have 15 grams of Protein and only 90 calories. Just mix them with water and you are good. I will be having my surgery next month.

Good luck,

Yvonne

My doctor suggested, among other shakes, the slim fast low carb. I get them at Walmart and they have 20 grams of protein and few carbs.

Try a GNC store or Vitamin Shoppe. You can find their locations online. then read the labels for the best ones.

Pinkrose - we have the same surgery date!

I have been drinking the Slim Fast low carb - Choc & Strawberries & Cream are the two that I like. This is Breakfast and lunch with a No Sugar Added Dreyers popsicle for a snack. I also like them very cold - room temp doesnt taste very good to me.
