Lap band pain

I had my lapband fitted 13 months ago and to date I have lost about 40 pounds. It is a 14ml band and I now have 9.75ml of Fluid in it. I have good restriction....which has taken a long time to get to.

Over the last few days I am experiencing an acid like burning sensation (pain is too strong a word). Any ideas what this is???

Did this start after the last fill? Sounds like reflux, which can happen with a fill that is too tight, and you might have just a little too much fill.

If that's the case, a slight unfill usually helps.

I had my last fill on 14th Feb and the band does seem a little looser over the last 2 weeks - maybe the swelling has gone down. It was my bithday weekend so I did drink a little too much red wine. I will stick to plain foods and lots of Water and see how it goes.

Thanks

Call your doctor right away! The horrible burning sensation in my chest and the acid reflux were the only symptoms I had that my band had slipped.
