My suregon Dr. Waldrep gives out the surgery date before the actual approval from the insurance company. Does anyone else find this backwards?? It is really messing with the planner side of my personality...I haven't got word yet how long does it take for approval. My surgery is scheduled for March 25th---19 days!!

My surgeon gave me a surgery date b/4 getting approval also. I would say that your surgeon is pretty confident that you will be approved!

Welcome! Many surgeon's office staff give the date before the approval. If your approval is delayed, they back the surgery date up so don't worry. Call your insurance company and ask for a written list of their requirements.
