will be banded 3/14

Hi,

I am a 46 yr old female near Conroe Texas that will be banded 3/14 and I must say I am still quite nervous. I would love to say I'm 100% gunho but I still have my self doubting moments and fears. I've tried so many things in the past and have been so disappointed and I guess I'm just scared of going through all of this and still not seeing long term permanent results. I'm also scared because I have 2 daughters that I don't want to leave without a mother.

Hi! I'm a TX girl too...near Dallas.

Not being successful is also my biggest fear (behind not being able to get the band now that I'm sold on it).

Joining this board, and reading so many of the stories is helping me to believe it'll be OK.

Good Luck

Your feelings may be normal because I feel the exact same way. My surgery is March 6th and I keep getting these feelings of fear then joy then fear.......

well I had to go through a bunch of stuff to get my insurance to approve it also, but really work with your doctors staff and their recomendations too because they can really help. I finally got mine approved after 6 months of pre approval stuff like a nutritionist, a psychologist and a 6 month exercise program and then I changed doctors because their staff didn't seem like they wanted to really deal with my insurance and then all of a sudddend everything was approved so hang in there and you can email me anytime with questions. I'll let you know all about it after I go through it.

well, if you feel up to it, I'd love to hear from you after your surgery and before mine is done on 3/14. I'll be praying for you. At least we know the odds are on our side....risks seem to be very minimal and I haven't heard of any fatalities so I keep telling myself it's less dangerous to have the surgery than to continue to live as i am now. God bless you and I'm here if you want to pray or talk.
