  1. I'd love to meet with you all. I'm scheduled to be banded on 3/14 and I'm getting very nervous and doubting myself. I think it would really help to have some other people to talk to. How do I send you an email to confirm for 3/8 meeting? All this chat stuff is pretty new to me so I don't know if I'm doing it all correctly.
  2. I'm scheduled for 3/14 banding with Dr. Wilkenfeld. Has anyone used him and do you have any feedback or info.? So far, I love his staff and he seems like a good surgeon and was willing to spend time talking with me and answering my questions, even agreed to pray with me.
  3. so, since you had your first band 4 years ago, you must have been really pleased with it to be going through it again. How did you know the band slipped? OH, and I will definitely pray for you. My band is scheduled for 3/14. So I need prayer too.
  4. well, if you feel up to it, I'd love to hear from you after your surgery and before mine is done on 3/14. I'll be praying for you. At least we know the odds are on our side....risks seem to be very minimal and I haven't heard of any fatalities so I keep telling myself it's less dangerous to have the surgery than to continue to live as i am now. God bless you and I'm here if you want to pray or talk.
  5. well I had to go through a bunch of stuff to get my insurance to approve it also, but really work with your doctors staff and their recomendations too because they can really help. I finally got mine approved after 6 months of pre approval stuff like a nutritionist, a psychologist and a 6 month exercise program and then I changed doctors because their staff didn't seem like they wanted to really deal with my insurance and then all of a sudddend everything was approved so hang in there and you can email me anytime with questions. I'll let you know all about it after I go through it.
  6. congratulations and I'm glad you are doing so well. I'm very nervous about my upcoming band in Texas on 3/14. Any tips?
  7. Hi, I am a 46 yr old female near Conroe Texas that will be banded 3/14 and I must say I am still quite nervous. I would love to say I'm 100% gunho but I still have my self doubting moments and fears. I've tried so many things in the past and have been so disappointed and I guess I'm just scared of going through all of this and still not seeing long term permanent results. I'm also scared because I have 2 daughters that I don't want to leave without a mother.
