how to take meds?

before I left the hospital I was given celebrex (for whatever reason) but the nurse opened the capsule and mixed the contents with water....I was prescribed Nexium and it wasn't specified whether to open the capsule or not:confused:Yes I am a nurse but I didn't think to ask. I would assume that the capsule would eventually dissolve in the pouch but you know what happens when you make assumptions....

My Dr. says I can swollen capsules fine - like Tylenol quick release - I haven't yet, I guess I keep thinking my throat is smaller too! Haha. I guess it dissolves quick enough in the pouch. My other pills, I can't crush (yuck) so I break them in 4 tiny pieces and haven't had any problems.

nexium can be opened to take i take nexium and my pharmacists said it was perfectly sake to open.. good luck tmm42
