Hi Sal, Hope every thing goes great for you. Walk plenty even around the house to keep the wind pains at bay. I was banded January 16th and so far so good. I get my first fill on Friday. Good luck.

Hi everybody!

I'm about to send my papers for the financing of my band.

I have a lower BMI, (37) with no health issues (so far). My mother has diabetes and I'm afraid I'm going that way since I'm 43 now.

I've lost about 50 pounds twice, with diet pills, only to regain it all. I'm to a point where it just doesn't seem to be an answer. So, here is my question: is lap band the answer? How do you all feel about having the band? Any regrets? Do you feel as satisfied as the diet pills will give you the feeling in the first days of it? Please, send me some answers!

Thank you!

Well done.Hope you are feeling well. Ive got 2 days left till I get banded.Been counting down the days lol

Hi, AC...

I was banded yesterday the 26th as well. Some discomfort & pain but tolerable.

I have been lurking on the forums for the past couple weeks. A great resource.

Hey all. Im new to this as well. I was banded in Waco Texas yesterday by Dr. Simms. So far so good. I feel like I've been doing a bunch of sit ups. Other than that Ok. Im just making sure I get protein before anything else. Im excited about this journey.

Hey I was banded on Tuesday too. I live in Georgia. Not really in pain just a little discomfort. I am looking forward to my journey. I need information on how to get my protein in. I am on clear liquids for 3 weeks

I bought Protein Whey which is a powder you mix in with milk or water. 1 scoop has 20 grams of protein. It comes in different flavors. You can get it at Wal Mart in the pharmacy area. It's in big plastic containers.

Hi Lekesia,

great to hear from you, keep moving it does get better. My dietitian gave me a diet plan for the first 2 weeks with a Protein drink called sustagen and a multi-Vitamin called supradyn that you buy from local chemist and supermakets. I am now on day 8 and feeling really great. Hear from you soon.

Hi,

Jonny3jack,

Hope you are doing well I find if you keep moving small walks a couple of times a day helps with the gas pains.
