My name is Janel. I have just started the process of getting the Lap Band. I can not wait to hear all your stories and meet people that are right there with me!

I am married...will be 8 years in March. My husband, Rodney, just had the Vertical Sleeve done in September (another type pf weight loss surgery.) He has lost a total of 130 lbs. We have a 4 year daughter named Emma. I can not wait to be able to keep up with her.

I currently weigh about 355...man I can not believe I just admitted to that to people I do not even know. Seems weird. I am so sick of body pain. I want to be a good example to my daughter and heck be here to watch her grow.

Can not wait to get to know you all! Anyone else from NW Ohio?

I am new here as well, I have already started all the apointments I had to do and tests. I just have one left which is the nutritionist. My surgery date is 3/19 and waiting on approval with my fingers crossed!

Hi Janel, we are so glad you have joined us here on LBT. It sounds like your husband has been very successful with his weight loss. It is great that you both will have had weight loss surgery, as you will be a great support system for each other.

Do not be embarrassed about stating your weight here at LBT.
