I am being banded on 2-20. I am very excited and nervous...but I want to thank everyone on this site...the information has been so helpful!!! What is the hardest part of this journey?

Xrayboy...Welcome to LBT :wub: Hmmm the hardest part of the journey for me is fighting the head hunger. You know when you're not really hungry but your head is telling you you want a cookie or something other junk food that you're used to just grabbing pre-band. That's about it....it's a battle sometimes but, you can win it you just need to have some tricks up your sleeve to know the difference and go walk it off or drink some water (for me anyway) to get rid of the head hungry horrors. After battling through all the requirements to have the surgery, the hardest part is staying away from foods that can easily pass through the band... junk food. Candy, cake, pie, icecream, chocolate, chips, etc., can all slide ride down so you have to fight those urges and make good choices. Good luck!
