Water question...

Hi~

I had my 2nd fill yesterday 4.15cc total in a 10cc band. I was curious about the whole Water thing...are you supposed to sip when properly filled? I can still chug it down , with no issues at all! I was just curious if when your filled if it is harder to do that.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, it is harder to chug when you have restriction. I just got my 3rd fill today and there is absolutely no way I could chug right now. I know I have some swelling from the fill but this is a lot different than my first 2 fills.

hi, I have had four fills (6.5ccs in a 10cc band) It wasn't until this fourth fill that I felt I couldn't chug and I still don't have to sip like they told me I would. You are okay! You just don't have full restriction yet.

I was glad to read the responses to your water question. I am 6 days post surgery and have NO problem drinking liquids at a normal rate. I was worried that something may be wrong. Thank you!

i cannot chug immediately after fills, but give me a couple of weeks and i'm chugging again (of course not as much as i could pre fill).

my doc says when we have proper restriction we should have to sip like hot coffee. well..i had to after my last fill, and i pb'd a lot because i could not make myself sip. i was thirsty and as soon as the liquid hit my mouth my body screamed DRINK!! so i did ice chips for a little bit and it helped. i hate having to sip, but i'm trying to get to the point where i have to.
