Hey everybody, I have been going through this site for awhile now, I am currently waiting on my insurance to kick in so i can start the rest of the process to get my Lap-Band. Is there any helpful advice anyone would like to give. Going into the unknown it kinda scary and like other people I have used food for a comfort and woundering how I will deal with that after the surgury.

You should probably seek out going to a professional (psychologist) who understands this type of mental issue, and can help you resolve why you do these things. Understanding it will give you the ability to forgoe using this as a coping mechinism. I did not have the same problem, I could care less about food if i am satisfied, so this surgery worked for me because I am satisfied, and not worried about food.
