Not plucked up the courage to ask for a band yet, but I will go this week and see what my GP says.

My bmi was 51 when I first started. I think it's somewhere between 36 and 38 now. I still have 64 pounds to go to goal.

My only regret with the lapband is that I didn't get it when it first became available. I did get it as soon as I found out about it.

Good luck, and feel free to ask any questions. I didn't know about this site until after I was banded. There's so much helpful information here.

dont worry you are not the 1st and you wont be the last on here with a high BMI. that will soon come down once your banded good luck x

My BMI was 50.0 when i decided on surgery. You're certinly not the highest i've seen :D
