How do you join groups?

I know this is a dumb question but how do you join a group on this web site? I got banded one week ago and I wanted to join the new years knockouts and I can not figure it out:( Is it just me??

    There's no special "joining" - just click on the group name, find a thread you'd like to comment in and say something! Most of the band date groups have a thread (or several!) where people state their surgery dates and some kind person adds their name to the list.
