I'm brand new here and wanted to intro myself.

My husband and I just participated in a seminar for the Lap Band and have scheduled our consultation for this next week. I'm excited about this as I have tried every diet known with no lasting results.

I'm in the D/FW Texas area. Hope to get to know a lot of you here and hope to gain tons of support and knowledge from y'all!

Congrats! The website is a wealth of information about everyone's journeys and there is usually a thread for any question you might think to ask - and some you don't. So read as much as you can to prepare yourself. You will get a lot of support from the site, so stick around!

You will be very happy to know that there are many live support groups in the DFW area and also a VERY good on line yahoo group. I don't even live in Texas and I am a member of their group because it is so good and so supportive. That group and this group have helped me so much in preparing for my surgery and my new life.

The yahoo group is DFWBandsters.
