Hello, I am new to Mounjaro. I have had my 1st injection 20 hours ago. I am wondering about everyone's experience with Mounjaro and Zepbound (same drug). My doctor started me at the .5 mg dose. The pharmacist told me not to leave the house, go on vacation or a family function??? How sick am I going to get. In the last 20 hours I experienced a mild headache. I am making sure that I am eating very small meals of bland food. So far, no major side effects. When did these side effects kick in for everyone? I am really wondering what is going to happen and when!

0.5mg or 5mg?

How did it go?

Lots of people have zero side effects. They seldom post, so all people see on social media is help wanted posts for side effects. Some people can take a tummy ache with a hot water bottle and others think they are dying and need pain meds.

after week 1 update: NO major side effects!!! slight headache after the shot and injection site a little itchy. That was it. On the plus side...since my sleeve I have had huge dumping syndrome. That is now gone. Drink lots of fluids-no constipation that way. As for eating...well that is a different story. The only way I can describe it is it is like you swallowed a balloon. When you get full-you know it. It's like when you fill a balloon with air and there is no more room. So far so good just took my second dose of the 5 mg.
